The 2012 Greenbrier Classic treated fans with an exciting playoff for the second straight year as Potter, in his rookie year, birdied the third playoff hole against Troy Kelly to capture his first PGA TOUR victory. Potter’s win resulted in an invitation to the 2013 Masters tournament and placed him as a finalist for 2012 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year Award.
