We strongly recommend that Spa and Clinic appointments be arranged when booking your room reservations. To maximize your experience, please arrive 20 to 30 minutes prior to your first scheduled appointment. This will allow you time to relax and let your mind enter a peaceful, tranquil mode. Please understand that late arrivals will not receive an extension of scheduled treatments in order to prevent inconvenience to the next fuest and the same treatment price will apply. We recommend that you be in your robe and relaxing in the relaxation room at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled service.
Complimentary use of robe, slippers and lockers is provided for all Spa guests. Our staff is professionally trained in proper draping to ensure your modesty is never compromised.
To preserve our peaceful and tranquil mode, we ask that you turn off your cell phones and pagers. We are a smoke-free and alcohol-free environment.
Use of the steam and sauna facilities is complimentary with your Spa service, the day or your service. Daily steam and sauna passes may be purchased.
For your convenience, a 20% service charge will be added to all Spa services, which includes a 15.5% gratuity for your provider.
A 24-hour notice is requested to avoid charges for cancelled services. Packages are non-refundable.
We encourage you to disclose any pertinent health conditions that may affect your Spa experience. For individuals expecting, we require authorization from a physician prior to massage and body services.

James Monroe visited White Sulphur Springs with his wife in August 1815 while he was Secretary of State. His physician ordered him to “take the waters” to regain his health.
Ulysses S. Grant visited White Sulphur Springs in 1874. It was a brief visit early in the season as he was traveling west by railroad.
Woodrow Wilson spent his Easter vacation in April 1914 at The Greenbrier. He played golf on the Old White Course. He also divided his December 1915 honeymoon with Edith Bolling Galt between The Greenbrier and The Homestead.
William Howard Taft vacationed at White Sulphur Springs during his 1908 campaign for the presidency. He was feted at a grand ball in the ballroom of the Old White Hotel.
Dwight D. Eisenhower hosted the North American Summit Conference at The Greenbrier March 26-28, 1956. He was also at the resort three times in World War II when The Greenbrier was used as an Army hospital. Once he was admitted as a patient and the other times he was here with Mrs. Eisenhower for rest and relaxation.
